Disclosure sono i fratelli Guy (nato nel 1991) e Howard Lawrence (nato nel 1994), originari di Reigate, nel Surrey. Dalla loro formazione nel 2010 uniscono ritmi UK garage, linee di basso dubstep e house a influenze soul, jazz e hip-hop anni 90, dando vita a un sound personale. I primi singoli sono usciti per Moshi Moshi e Transparent Records, prima che nel 2012 attirassero l'attenzione internazionale con la serie di EP su Greco-Roman e il debutto su PMR „Latch", allora ancora insieme allo sconosciuto Sam Smith. L'album d'esordio „Settle" (PMR/Island, giugno 2013) ha raggiunto la posizione 1 nelle classifiche britanniche e ha ottenuto una nomination ai Grammy come miglior album dance/elettronica. Nel 2015 è seguito „Caracal", anch'esso in vetta alle classifiche, con collaborazioni con Lorde, The Weeknd e Miguel. Il loro terzo album, „Energy" (2020), ha ampliato il sound con ritmi africani e ospita, tra gli altri, Kelis, Slowthai e Khalid. Disclosure sono attivi sia dal vivo sia come duo DJ e suonano regolarmente in festival internazionali come KappaFuturFestival, CRSSD e Brunch Electronik. Grazie al loro equilibrio tra sostanza da club e immediatezza pop, figurano tra i duo più influenti della musica elettronica degli anni 2010 e 2020.
