I Dorfrocker sono un trio di Kirchaich, nella Bassa Franconia: Tobias Thomann (voce, chitarra), Philipp Thomann (chitarra solista) e Markus Thomann (fisarmonica), tre fratelli che hanno fondato insieme la band nel 2005. Il loro sound fonde pop e rock moderni con elementi di musica popolare e Partyschlager, arricchiti da influenze country; nei testi non mancano la vita di paese, la birra e i bei momenti.
L’album di debutto *Party, Mädels… Geile Zeit!* uscì nel 2007 per Ariola Records; seguirono le prime apparizioni televisive nel programma di musica popolare *Feste der Volksmusik*. Dopo aver aperto il tour d’addio degli Schürzenjäger e dopo il secondo album *Jetzt Geht's Tichtig Ab* (2008), i Dorfrocker entrarono per la prima volta nelle classifiche tedesche con *Remmi Demmi* (2010), anche grazie a „Vogelbeerbaum / Schwarz-Rot-Gold“ (DE #59). Nel 2012 uscì *Roll den Roten Teppich Aus*, prima del passaggio della band a Sony Entertainment nel 2014; il debutto per l’etichetta, *Dorfkind und Stolz Drauf*, raggiunse il 12° posto. Tra le collaborazioni note c’è il „Dorfkind – Mallorcastyle Mix“ con Mia Julia, che unisce in modo mirato Partyschlager e sound di Mallorca. In manifestazioni come Hannover Olé, i Dorfrocker hanno condiviso il palco con artisti quali Matthias Reim e Mickie Krause.
