Lorenz Büffel

Krems an der Donau, Österreichschlager · pop · partyschlager
Lorenz Büffel, born Stefan Scheichel-Gierten on May 29, 1979 in Krems an der Donau, Austria, is one of the best-known party Schlager artists in Europe. His career began in the early 2000s as a radio presenter and entertainer at a holiday club in Senegal, where he was discovered by comedian Bernd Stelter. He subsequently trained at the Comedy Academy in Cologne before moving to Hamburg in 2006, where he built a comedy career around Olivia Jones. That same year, he first performed at the Mega-Park in Mallorca, the heart of the Ballermann scene. Musically, he made early waves with tracks like "Ich will Sex mit dir Carmen" and "Die Krüge hoch!" (both 2012). His big breakthrough came with the 2016 single "Johnny Däpp (Ich will Mallorca zurück)", which went platinum and peaked at number 28 on the German singles chart, making it one of the best-selling German-language hits of its era. Notable collaborations followed with Ikke Hüftgold ("Wir sind wieder da", 2018), HONK! ("Der heiße Micha", 2020) and Anna-Maria Zimmermann. Songs like "Trinken ist auch Sport" and "Der Zug hat keine Bremse" have further cemented his status as a staple of the Mallorca party scene.
