Revolver era una band londinese di chitarre, attiva dal 1990 al 1994. Il trio era formato da Mat Flint (chitarra e voce), Hamish Brown (basso) e Nick Dewey (batteria). Flint e Dewey si conoscevano già grazie alle band scolastiche in cui avevano suonato insieme; quando nell’autunno del 1990 si trasferirono a Londra, Brown si unì al gruppo completando la formazione. Dopo aver attirato l’interesse di etichette come Dedicated Records, One Little Indian e Creation Records, nell’estate del 1991 la band firmò con Hut Records, sottoetichetta di Virgin Records. Nella scena alternative e shoegazing londinese dei primi anni Novanta, Revolver si costruì rapidamente un pubblico fedele e andò in tour come gruppo spalla di artisti quali Chapterhouse, Slowdive, Teenage Fanclub e Blur. La stampa accolse la band con entusiasmo. Dopo lo scioglimento del 1994, il gruppo è tornato nel 2025 con una reunion e ha annunciato concerti a Skegness e Nottingham.
