Trio Tríptic è un ensemble scozzese formato dai musicisti Greg Lawson al violino e al mandolino, Phil Alexander al pianoforte e alla fisarmonica e Mario Caribé alla chitarra e al basso: tutti e tre sono ex membri della band fusion di Glasgow Moishe's Bagel. Dopo l’ultimo concerto dei Moishe's Bagel nel 2022, il progetto Soundhouse di Edimburgo ha riunito i tre musicisti. La loro prima esibizione insieme risale al 2023, all’Edinburgh Festival, quando si presentarono con il nome provvisorio „The Band with No Name", prima di adottare il nome Tríptic. Il suono del trio unisce tango drammatico, klezmer vivace, global folk e groove jazz con influenze latinoamericane, sostenuti da un’esecuzione compatta e ritmicamente precisa. Tutti e tre i musicisti hanno ricevuto numerosi riconoscimenti e vantano profonde radici nella scena world music di Glasgow. Il processo compositivo collaborativo è al centro dello sviluppo artistico dell’ensemble. Triptic si è esibito all’Edinburgh International Festival; il suo album di debutto è uscito nel 2025.
