WhoMadeWho è un trio danese di Copenaghen, fondato nel 2003 dal cantante e bassista Tomas Høffding, dal chitarrista jazz Jeppe Kjellberg e dal batterista e produttore Tomas Barfod. I primi singoli, come „Out the Door" e „Space to Rent", sono usciti sulla label disco tedesca Gomma Records e hanno aperto la strada all'album d'esordio omonimo del 2005. Con il passaggio a Kompakt di Colonia sono arrivati gli album *Knee Deep* (2011) e *Brighter* (2012), che hanno consolidato la loro reputazione di live band ideale per i remix: tra i remixer di quel periodo figuravano Tale Of Us, Michael Mayer, Maceo Plex e Kollektiv Turmstrasse. Altre pubblicazioni sono uscite su label quali Life & Death, Innervisions, Get Physical ed Ellum Audio. L'album *Synchronicity* (2020, Kompakt) è nato durante la pandemia e include collaborazioni con Michael Mayer, Mano Le Tough, Robag Wruhme, Frank Wiedemann e Perel. Il loro sound unisce beat elettronici e strumenti suonati dal vivo: l'esperienza di Barfod nella produzione elettronica incontra il basso rock di Høffding e la chitarra jazz di Kjellberg. La band ha suonato a festival come Roskilde, Sónar e Burning Man e nel 2024 ha vinto il DJ Award di Ibiza nella categoria Best Organic House. Tra i club in cui si è esibita figurano Watergate Berlin e Cityfox New York.
