Raixa is een historisch landgoed bij Bunyola dat gratis te bezoeken is als openbaar bezoekerscentrum met tentoonstellingen, verzorgde tuinen en uitzicht op de Serra de Tramuntana.

Tuinen, olijfmolen en waterreservoir

Het landgoed omvat terrastuinen, boomgaarden, fonteinen en vijvers. Vooral het grote waterreservoir en een vijver met vissen worden vaak genoemd. De historische olijfmolen maakt eveneens deel uit van de rondgang en biedt inzicht in de traditionele landbouw op Mallorca.

Tentoonstelling en audiogids

In het landhuis wacht je een tentoonstelling over flora, fauna, geschiedenis, tradities en het leven in het gebied rond de Tramuntana. Je bezoek wordt aangevuld met een gratis audiogids die je door de tentoonstellingsruimtes en tuinen leidt.

Toren en uitzichtpunt

Een pad leidt omhoog naar een uitkijkpaviljoen of toren, vanwaar je weids uitzicht hebt over de Serra de Tramuntana, Palma, de baai en de Middellandse Zee. De klim omvat trappen en vergt enige conditie, maar is de moeite waard.

Ligging en bereikbaarheid

Raixa ligt aan de Carretera Ma-11 van Palma naar Sóller bij kilometer 12,2, in de gemeente Bunyola. Voor de rit erheen is een eigen voertuig aan te raden. Direct bij het landgoed kun je gratis parkeren en ook in de buurt is gratis parkeren op straat mogelijk.
