Ewan McVicar, geboren op 10 januari 1994 in Irvine en opgegroeid in Ayr aan de westkust van Schotland, is dj en producer op het snijvlak van house en Detroit techno. Tijdens zijn lerarenopleiding ontdekte hij het draaien en bouwde hij in zijn woonplaats een lokale clubscene op, onder meer in de Ayrshire-clubs Club De Mar en Furys. Na zijn afstuderen richtte hij zich volledig op de muziek.
Zijn internationale doorbraak kwam in 2021 met zijn debuutsingle „Tell Me Something Good". Die bereikte de UK Top 20, werd door de BPI met platina bekroond (Silver 2021, Gold 2022, Platinum 2023) en won bij de DJ Mag Best of British Awards de titel „Track of the Year" en Radio 1's „Electronic Track of the Year". McVicar brengt muziek uit op labels als Optimo Music Digital Danceforce, Trick (het collectief van Patrick Topping) en Armada. Hij trad onder meer op tijdens Warehouse Project 2022 en het Australische Pitch Music & Arts Festival. In 2023 zette hij het Pavilion Festival in Ayr op, dat bij zijn debuut 7.500 bezoekers trok. Zijn sound sluit aan bij het „soulful and raw"-ethos van de ravecultuur uit de jaren 90.
