Obscure Shape – de burgerlijke naam van Luigi Urban – is een in Duitsland gevestigde dj en producent die bekendstaat om zijn opzwepende, hypnotische techno. Samen met Marco Bläsi (SHDW) vormde hij het duo SHDW & Obscure Shape, dat vanuit Stuttgart uitgroeide tot een vaste waarde in de Europese underground-technoscene. In 2015 richtten de 2 het label From Another Mind op, voortgekomen uit een gelijknamig feest en sindsdien goed voor negen eigen releases van de 2 labelbazen. Daarnaast startten SHDW & Obscure Shape het label Mutual Rytm om opkomende technoacts als Lars Huismann en Alarico te ondersteunen. Na het uiteenvallen van het duo debuteerde Obscure Shape als soloact met de EP „Elemental" op Cleric's Clergy Records uit Manchester – een eerste concreet bewijs van zijn eigen artistieke stem. Muzikaal beweegt hij zich tussen techno, ambient en house en live werkt hij met analoge apparatuur. Zijn sets en releases brachten hem naar internationale podia; voor de zomer van 2026 is onder meer een optreden op Mallorca tijdens Danzû Festival bevestigd.
