Tony Effe, geboren als Nicolò Rapisarda, werd op 17 mei 1991 geboren in Rome en groeide op in de historische Rione Monti. Voordat hij de muziek ontdekte, was hij actief als kindacteur, onder meer in de film *Viaggi di Nozze* (1995). Zijn muziekcarrière begon in 2014 als lid van het trapcollectief Dark Polo Gang, waarmee hij de debuutmixtape *Full Metal Dark* (2015) uitbracht en naam maakte in de Italiaanse hiphopscene.
