Banda Municipal de Música de Santanyí jest jedną z najstarszych instytucji muzycznych na Majorce: pierwsze wzmianki o miejskiej orkiestrze dętej w Santanyí pochodzą z 1870 roku, co oznacza, że zespół ma ponad 170-letnią historię. Uznaje się go za symbol kultury i ważne narzędzie edukacyjne gminy – większość z około 65 aktywnych muzyków i muzyczek to uczniowie, uczennice oraz nauczyciele Escola Municipal de Música de Santanyí (EMMS). W 2024 roku otworzyła cykl koncertów „Nits d'estiu a Raixa" organizowany przez Consell de Mallorca na historycznej posiadłości Raixa – w programie znalazły się utwory Ennio Morricone, Klaus Badelt i John Higgins. Orkiestra koncertowała także za granicą i reprezentuje muzyczne dziedzictwo Santanyí daleko poza granicami gminy.
