Ensemble Tramuntana

Ensemble Tramuntana powstał latem 2014 roku pod kierownictwem Barry'ego Sargenta, aby wspierać muzyczne talenty Balearów. Swoją nazwę zawdzięcza Serra de Tramuntana, wpisanemu na listę światowego dziedzictwa UNESCO pasmu górskiemu na Majorce. Skład zespołu zależy od programu – od niewielkich formacji kameralnych po klasyczną orkiestrę z instrumentami dętymi.
Repertuar obejmuje utwory od XVII do XX wieku. Muzyka barokowa i klasyczna wykonywane są na instrumentach z epoki, natomiast w programach poświęconych muzyce XX wieku wykorzystywane są instrumenty klasyczne. Wśród solistek i solistów, którym towarzyszył już zespół, są: mallorkański skrzypek Francisco Fullana, francuski wiolonczelista Emmanuel Bleuse, amerykańsko-francuski flecista grający na flecie poprzecznym Charles Zebley, belgijska sopranistka Sheva Tehoval oraz amerykański klarnecista Eric Hoeprich.
W Palmie zespół występował w tak charakterystycznych miejscach jak Castillo de Bellver, Teatre Principal, Casal Solleric (cykl koncertów „Solleric d'Estiu") oraz krużganki Sant Francesc. Przez trzy lata współorganizował festiwal „Deià Clàssics" wraz z gminą Deià. Coroczny cykl koncertów „Nits Clàssiques de la Tramuntana" prowadzi zespół po całej Majorce – od Valldemossa i Sóller po Pollença i Binissalem – a także na Ibizę. Ostatnio, w sierpniu 2026 roku, w programie znalazły się koncerty w Binissalem i Port de Sóller z utworami C.P.E. Bacha i Mozarta.
