Jean Pierre

Jean Pierre is a DJ and producer from Queens, New York, with Colombian roots, now based in Barcelona. Over more than two decades he has carved out a distinctive space in the electronic music scene, blending house grooves, percussive minimalism, and raw techno energy. His journey began in New York's underground clubs — crate-digging at Brooklyn's legendary Halcyon record shop and cutting his teeth in the city's after-hours scene, inspired early on by the mythical Sound Factory. Via Miami he made his way onto international stages. 2024 brought landmark performances at Space Miami, Sunwaves, Unum, and the BPM Festival, as well as headline slots at Ibiza's Hï, Pacha, Amnesia, and Eden. He has also appeared on Mallorca, including at the Veraniego Festival. As founder of Pakate Records and a Cuttin' Headz affiliate, he releases music on respected imprints including Hot Creations, Mindshake, Desolat, Rawthentic, and Defected. Recent vinyl releases via Melodie/Yoyaku and collaborations with Jesse Calosso and Harvard Bass further underline his standing in the scene.
