The TarantinosNYC – also known as Surfin' Tarantinos – are a surf-rock quartet founded in 2005 in Queens, New York. Made up of lead guitarist Paulie Tarantino, bassist Tricia Tarantino, keyboardist/rhythm guitarist Brian Tarantino and drummer Joey Tarantino, they have built a reputation as one of New York's most consistently original instrumental bands. Despite the name, they have no connection to filmmaker Quentin Tarantino. Their sound blends 1960s surf rock with spy soundtracks, spaghetti-western guitar twang and soul grooves. Over the years they have released four albums, beginning with their debut *Super Sounds of the Cinema* (2009), followed by *Surfin' the Silver Screen*, and most recently *Once Upon a Time in… a Surf, Soul, Spy, Spaghetti Western* (post-2019), featuring originals such as "Spy on My Tail", "Minnie's Place" (an homage to Booker T. Jones) and "Wolf's Tooth". Live, the TarantinosNYC have played venues such as Otto's Shrunken Head in New York City. In 2026 they appeared at the **Gomila Live Festival** on Plaza Gomila and Plaza Mediterráneo in Palma de Mallorca.
