TAO Dance Theater é uma das companhias de dança contemporânea chinesas mais conhecidas internacionalmente. O fundador, Tao Ye, nascido em Chongqing, formou-se na Chongqing Dance School, dançou no Shanghai Army Song & Dance Ensemble e no Shanghai Jin Xing Dance Theatre, e tornou-se membro da Beijing Modern Dance Company. Em 2008, fundou a companhia em Pequim juntamente com Duan Ni e Wang Hao, quando tinha apenas 23 anos.

Em 2023, TAO Dance Theater venceu o Silver Lion Award da Biennale di Venezia, uma das mais prestigiadas distinções internacionais na área da dança.
