Vincent Hsu (徐崇育) é um premiado contrabaixista, compositor e pedagogo musical de Kaohsiung, Taiwan. De raízes taiwanesas, mudou-se em 2002 para New York City para estudar contrabaixo com a lenda do jazz Cecil McBee, uma experiência decisiva que o marcou profundamente. Concluiu o mestrado em Jazz Performance na New York University; além de McBee, teve como mentores Andy González, Jerry González, Victor Venegas e Luis Perdomo.
O seu estilo musical combina jazz e música afro-cubana com as suas raízes taiwanesas. Com a sua banda „Soy La Ley Afro-Cuban Jazz Band" e a „Jazz Supreme Orchestra", atuou em palcos internacionais, entre os quais o Taichung Jazz Festival e o Tainan Jazz Festival. Em 2024, fez uma digressão pelos Estados Unidos, que contou também com a participação do NEA Jazz Master Donald Harrison.
O álbum *Music for the River Jazz Suite: The Spirit of Love River & Mississippi River* (Truth Revolution Records, outubro de 2023) recebeu quatro estrelas da *DownBeat Magazine* e foi distinguido como Editors' Pick 2023. A obra liga o Love River, da sua cidade natal de Kaohsiung, ao Mississippi River.
Atualmente, Hsu vive e trabalha em Taiwan, é Director of Jazz & Afro-Cuban Orchestra na National Taiwan University of Arts e, desde 2018, é curador da Summer Jazz Party no Taiwan National Theater and Concert Hall.
