Nino Gvetadze

Nino Gvetadze är en georgisk klassisk pianist, född och uppvuxen i Tiflis. Hon inledde sin musikutbildning vid Tbilisi State Conservatoire för Veronika Tumanishvili, Nodar Gabunia och Nana Khubutia, innan hon flyttade till Nederländerna för masterstudier vid Konservatorium Den Haag och Conservatorium van Amsterdam, där hon studerade för Paul Komen och Jan Wijn. Det internationella genombrottet kom 2008, då hon vann andrapriset, presspriset och publikpriset vid International Franz Liszt Piano Competition. År 2010 följde det prestigefyllda Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award. Som solist har hon framträtt med dirigenter som Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Jaap van Zweden, Klaus Mäkelä och Jakub Hrůša, bland annat med Rotterdam Philharmonic, Netherlands Philharmonic och Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. Bland de scener hon återkommande gästar finns Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall London och Tonhalle Zürich. Gvetadze har spelat in nio solo-cd-skivor för skivbolag som Challenge Records, Orchid Classics, Brilliant Classics och Etcetera Records, däribland det uppmärksammade Chopin-albumet „Ghosts". Hon är professor vid Codarts Rotterdam samt medgrundare och konstnärlig ledare för Naarden International Piano Festival och Delft Chamber Music Festival.
