Cala Serch
Description
Cala Serch is a small rocky cove near Canyamel on Mallorca's east coast, known for its turquoise, crystal-clear water and a peaceful atmosphere well away from the crowds.
Water, Rocks & Underwater Life
What makes Cala Serch special is above all the water: turquoise, crystal-clear and clean. The seabed is a real treat for snorkellers — fish and aquatic plants are easy to spot. If you'd rather jump than dive, there are several rocky ledges and paths above the cove to launch yourself from. A cave right at the water's edge adds to the drama. There's very little sand here; the cove is rocky and suits swimming, snorkelling and cliff jumping far more than a classic beach day.
Atmosphere & Character
The cove is small and tranquil — sunbathing spots are limited accordingly. Surrounded by greenery and rock, it offers a raw, unspoilt setting that stands apart from the busier beaches in the area.
Getting There & Access
Cala Serch sits on the Carretera Coves 104 in Canyamel Platja. There's a car park at the top of the road, from which a path leads down to the cove via steps. Alternatively, the cove can be reached along a woodland path that starts from the bridge below a boutique hotel, bypassing the steps altogether. Getting into the water is considered challenging.
