Platja Canyamel
Description
Platja Canyamel is a sandy beach on the east coast of Mallorca, tucked away in the small holiday village of Canyamel.
Water, Sand and Atmosphere
The beach impresses with fine sand and clear, turquoise water. The seabed shelves gently, making for calm, easy swimming. The atmosphere is noticeably quieter than at many other beaches on the island — even at weekends it remains pleasantly relaxed. The occasional waves add a bit of variety to the day, though swimming can be a little restricted when the wind picks up.
Facilities & Infrastructure
The beach offers sun lounger and parasol hire, beachside restaurants and bars, showers, toilets, and a lifeguard service. If you'd like to hire a lounger, it's worth arriving early — spaces are limited at this smaller beach. Pedal boats are also available to hire.
Location & Surroundings
The beach sits along Via Costa i Llobera in Canyamel, a village on the east coast of Mallorca that forms part of the municipality of Capdepera. Street parking can be found along the roads surrounding the beach, though availability varies throughout the day — arriving early gives you the best chance of a spot. The Cuevas d'Artà, Mallorca's famous stalactite caves, are just a short distance away.
