The kitchen at El Huarique is all about genuine Peruvian flavour with dishes made from scratch. Ceviche is one of the most celebrated plates on the menu — if you prefer fried fish with less marinade, the Jalea is the one to go for, and you can ask for the ceviche on the side in a small bowl so the fish doesn't cure too quickly. Lomo Saltado comes highly recommended by regulars, and Chupe de Camarón along with a Pisco Sour are firm personal favourites. Portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable.
