Description
Encubert is a restaurant on the village square of Lloret de Vistalegre, serving Mallorcan cuisine in a deliberately personal, family-run setting.
Cuisine & Specialities
Cod runs as a golden thread through the menu: preparations range from tempura to cod with aioli, cod au gratin, cod Wellington, and cod with sweet chilli sauce. Rice dishes are equally well represented — most notably Arroz Brut, the classic Mallorcan slow-cooked rice, as well as Arroz Marinero. If you still have room after your main course, the homemade desserts come highly recommended, including Tarte Tatin, Banoffee Pie, brownie, lemon mousse, and dessert tasting selections. Vegetarian and vegan menus are available on request.
Atmosphere & Character
Encubert describes itself as a place where exclusivity and a touch of mystery meet warmth and quality cooking — the kitchen and dining room are run by a mother-and-child duo, which gives the restaurant its unmistakably homely feel. The atmosphere is polished, welcoming, and unhurried; if you want to dine amongst locals, you've come to the right place. Takeaway is also available.
How to Find It
The restaurant sits directly on the Plaça Verge de Loreto, the central village square of Lloret de Vistalegre, a small inland Mallorcan village. There is a car park in the lower part of the village, and a glazed external lift connects it to the square near the restaurant. Lloret de Vistalegre is well off the main tourist routes — Encubert is the kind of place you seek out deliberately.
