Ermita de Llubí
Description
The Ermita de Llubí is a great day-out destination on the edge of the village of Llubí, in the heart of Mallorca's interior, combining a charming little chapel with a spacious picnic and barbecue area.
Chapel and Leisure Grounds
At the centre of the site stands a small chapel — described by visitors as a delightful little gem — which can be admired from the outside, as the ermita itself is normally kept locked. Surrounding it, a generous leisure area unfolds, with plenty of wooden tables, stone-built fireplaces and barbecue stations. As the number of BBQ spots is limited, grills and table equipment can be hired from the on-site bar; firewood is also available to purchase there.
Atmosphere
During the week and outside peak season, the site has a wonderfully calm, unhurried feel, well away from the usual tourist crowds. Weekends can get noticeably busier. The grounds are well kept and tidy, and from the hilltop you're treated to lovely views over the village of Llubí and the surrounding countryside.
Bar and Refreshments
Right at the entrance to the site, a bar-kiosk serves coffee, tea, desserts and drinks. This is also where you can hire a grill and pick up firewood — a handy one-stop shop if you arrive on a whim without your own kit.
Location and Getting There
The Ermita is located at Diseminado Diseminados Var 674 in Llubí, Illes Balears. There is a large car park at the entrance, making it easy to reach by car.
