Description
Es Trenc is a long, natural beach on Mallorca's south coast, designated as a protected nature reserve.
Water, Sand and Nature
The water at Es Trenc is shallow, turquoise and crystal clear — precisely what the beach is so consistently celebrated for. Fine, pale sand stretches out as far as the eye can see, and the gentle gradient into the sea makes it easy for children to paddle and swim. The area forms part of a nature reserve, with salt flats and the surrounding landscape adding to its character. In the evening, the beach offers truly remarkable sunset views.
A Natural Beach with No Facilities
Es Trenc is deliberately kept in its natural state: there are no toilets on site, and the only refreshment option is a simple café-bar. If you need shade, bring your own umbrella — there's no natural cover on the beach itself.
Getting There and Parking
The beach is only accessible by car. A paid car park awaits on arrival, and from there it's a few minutes' walk to the shore. Demand is high, particularly during peak season and at weekends, so queues at the entrance are not uncommon. Do bear in mind that the approach road is narrow.
