Description
La Llubinense is a tapas restaurant and traditional neighbourhood local in the Pere Garau quarter of Palma, best known for its Mallorcan variat.
The Variat — Heart of the Menu
The centrepiece of La Llubinense is the variat mallorquín: a mixed plate of various tapas and homemade bites where you choose exactly what goes on it. Croquettes, calamari, potato salad, snails, kidneys and llonguets are all regular components. Paella — available on pre-order — homemade desserts and squid-ink dishes also feature on the menu. The kitchen keeps things thoroughly homemade throughout.
Atmosphere and Character
La Llubinense is one of the few remaining spots in the Pere Garau quarter that has held onto the spirit of a genuine Mallorcan neighbourhood bar. The cooking is authentically Mallorcan and the crowd is mostly local. At weekends the place fills up quickly, so a reservation is a good idea.
Location & Getting There
The restaurant is located at Carrer de Pere Llobera 16 in the Llevant quarter of Palma. Free on-street parking is available nearby.
