The heart of Lao Jin is its freshly skewered and grilled fare, cooked in the tradition of north-east Chinese street barbecue. Lamb and beef skewers, tofu skin, chicken gizzards, rice cake skewers, squid, mushrooms and spring onion come straight off the grill and onto your table — the meat skewered fresh to order. Alongside these you'll find foil-steamed specialities, cold noodles and liangpi. The handmade dumplings — gyoza and wonton alike — are among the most popular dishes on the menu.
