Description
MAGÍ Coffee Bar is a specialty coffee café and brunch restaurant in the Santa Catalina neighbourhood of Palma.
Coffee and Matcha at the Heart of It
Specialty coffee is firmly front and centre here: cappuccino, flat white, cortado, pour-over and cold brew are all prepared with care, alongside milk alternatives such as oat and almond. The matcha has become a particular house strength — the iced matcha with passion fruit and tonic is a firm favourite worth seeking out. Ceremonial cacao made from pure, unsweetened cacao also features on the menu.
Breakfast and Brunch
The food menu sits squarely in the territory of fresh, healthy brunch cooking: Turkish eggs (çılbır), eggs Benedict, açaí bowl, granola bowl and smoothies all feature, as do sourdough toasts, a salmon bagel and a pastrami sandwich. Among the baked goods, the croissants stand out — including an almond and chocolate croissant — alongside banana bread, with raspberry tart rounding off the sweeter side of things.
Atmosphere and Décor
The interior is bright, modern and uncluttered, with an open layout that gives the space a welcoming, airy feel. The café also has outdoor seating opposite a small park and plaza, complete with a church backdrop.
Location in Santa Catalina
MAGÍ is located on Carrer de Sant Magí 77 in the Ponent (Santa Catalina) quarter of Palma, close to the Mercat de Santa Catalina. On-street parking is available in the surrounding area.
Good to Know
As well as dining in, the café offers takeaway and delivery. Larger groups have been accommodated without a reservation without any fuss. During busy periods, waiting times can be longer — something the café is refreshingly upfront about. Some guests consider the prices to be on the higher end.
