The coffee is the undisputed star at Mise en Place: cappuccinos and other speciality coffees draw praise time and again. Alongside them, the homemade pastries and sweet treats are equally hard to resist — almond croissants, pistachio swirls and chocolate croissants are among the firm favourites. The breakfast menu also features a selection of toasts, including smoked salmon toast and avocado toast, while freshly squeezed orange juice rounds things off nicely. If you prefer plant-based milk, you're well catered for: oat, soya and coconut milk are all available. Vegetarian options are a permanent fixture on the menu.
