Platja Caló de ses Lleonardes
Description
Caló de ses Lleonardes is a small rocky cove in the municipality of Llucmajor, just south of Palma.
Rock, pine shade and crystal-clear water
The cove stretches 30 metres long and 4 metres wide, with a seabed of rock and stones. The water is beautifully clear, making it a great spot for snorkelling — you can easily spot fish and other marine life going about their business. A pine grove grows right alongside the water's edge, offering welcome shade even on the hottest days. As there's no sand, water shoes are well worth bringing along.
A peaceful atmosphere, but limited space
The cove is far quieter than larger beaches and tends to draw mostly locals. That said, its small size means it fills up quickly during busy periods. At sunset, the cove rewards you with spectacular views across the Bay of Palma.
Getting there
The cove is located at Carrer Ondategui 23, 07609 Llucmajor. It's well signposted, and parking is available nearby. Access to the water is via a staircase with a handrail. The cove is easy to reach by car. There are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity, so it's a good idea to bring your own food and drinks.
