Platja Cas Català Calvià
Description
Platja Cas Català is a small, sheltered cove in Cas Català-Illetes, just west of Palma.
Water & Beach
The water in the cove is crystal clear and calm, and the sandy beach is pleasantly compact. The shallow, gentle conditions make it especially well suited to families with young children. The rocks are great for snorkelling — fish can be spotted right at the water's edge, and the occasional octopus makes an appearance too. The cove is well kept and clean.
Atmosphere & Character
The vibe here is relaxed and unhurried, with a crowd that blends locals and guests from the surrounding hotels. Because of its small size and the popularity of the lift access, it can fill up quickly — particularly in summer — and finding a free spot can be tricky. The sunbeds hired out by the adjacent restaurant also get snapped up fast.
Getting There
The cove sits along Carretera Andratx KM 7 / C. Català 31 in Cas Català-Illetes. You can reach the beach either by lift or via a set of steps. Arriving by car is possible, though parking spaces are limited and in high season this can be quite a challenge.
