Description

Playa Buguenvil·lia – also known as Caló des Macs – is a small cove in the coastal village of Cas Català-Illetes on Mallorca.

Two sides to one cove

The cove is split into two distinct areas: the western side features fine golden sand with a gentle seabed, while the eastern side is rocky, with shingle mixed with Posidonia debris. A man-made wall separates the shore from the adjoining neighbourhood, which includes residential buildings, accommodation and restaurants.

A peaceful spot right on the water

Playa Buguenvil·lia is particularly popular with locals and has a genuinely unhurried feel. A restaurant sits right on the beach. On public holidays the little cove can fill up quickly, so arriving early in the day is the best way to secure a quiet spot in the water.

How to find it

The cove lies in Cas Català-Illetes, a quiet residential and tourist area within the municipality of Calvià, roughly 6 km from Palma. It sits between Caló de ses Genes and the Calanova Yacht Club, right alongside the Ma-1C road.
