Description
Sa Paella Restaurante & Take Away is a family-run restaurant in Port de Sóller specialising in traditional Mallorcan cuisine and freshly made paella — whether you're dining in or taking away.
Homemade, no shortcuts
The kitchen at Sa Paella follows a simple but clear philosophy, as their own website puts it: "We cook as our grandmothers taught us. Traditional Mallorcan cuisine, made with love and respect for the ingredient, no shortcuts." Everything is cooked to order. The menu includes Paella Mixta, Paella de Marisco, a seafood version of Frito Mallorquín with squid, prawns, mussels and white fish, as well as Fideuà. Burgers and pinsa also feature. A Menú del Día is available too.
Paella to go — straight to the beach
One of Sa Paella's most popular offerings is their paella to take away: freshly cooked paella is served in the traditional pan, for which a deposit is taken and the pan returned afterwards. It's the perfect way to enjoy the dish right on the beach. Paellas are always prepared for a minimum of two portions. The restaurant is also available to book for events and parties.
Location & getting there
The restaurant is located at Carrer de Canonge Oliver 3 in Port de Sóller — tucked slightly away from the main thoroughfares, giving it a pleasingly off-the-beaten-track feel. Free and paid parking, as well as free on-street parking, are available nearby. An accessible parking space is also provided.
Who is it good for?
Sa Paella is great for families with children, and vegetarian options are on the menu. If you'd rather enjoy your paella outdoors, the take-away option makes it easy to head straight to the waterfront for a picnic.
