Ses Covetes
Description
Ses Covetes is a natural beach in Campos in the south of Mallorca, known for its fine white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water.
Water and Beach
The water at Ses Covetes is strikingly clear with a beautiful turquoise hue. The sand is fine and pale, and the seabed shelves very gently, only deepening further out — a quality that makes the beach a great choice for swimming with children. In some spots you'll come across seagrass, which varies in density depending on the area; in other sections the water is almost entirely seagrass-free. The beach itself is expansive, wide at one end and gradually narrowing towards the other, with rocky stretches and low cliffs adding to the natural character.
Atmosphere and Natural Setting
Ses Covetes sits within a protected nature reserve, framed by dunes and pine trees. Its noticeably quieter atmosphere compared to the busier beaches nearby is one of its most appreciated qualities. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the beach, along with a small refreshment hut.
Location and Getting There
The beach lies along the Carretera de Covetes a Campos within the municipality of Campos. Parking directly beside the beach is limited; the larger car parks are further away and involve a walk of roughly 15 to 35 minutes. Parking is paid; on the Sa Ràpita side it is free between November and April. Arriving early gives you the best chance of securing a closer spot. The neighbouring beach of Es Trenc is within walking distance from Ses Covetes.
