Description
Xólotl is a Mexican restaurant in Palma's Santa Catalina neighbourhood, serving authentic, home-style Mexican cooking made with local produce.
Food & Dishes
The kitchen at Xólotl is a love letter to traditional Mexican home cooking. Handmade corn tortillas are the restaurant's calling card, and the menu features tacos al pastor, green enchiladas, quesadillas, guacamole, nachos, aguachile, quesabirria and mole, with pastel de elote to finish. Vegetarian and vegan options are a genuine part of the offering and can be tailored to suit your needs.
Drinks
The cocktail list is a highlight in its own right: margaritas — including spicy variations —, mezcal cocktails, micheladas and agua de Jamaica all feature strongly. The house cocktail 'Kahlo' comes particularly recommended.
Atmosphere
The setting is deliberately unpretentious, with an unmistakably Mexican character — this is a place with personality rather than polish. The restaurant is compact and has no outdoor seating.
Location & Getting Here
Xólotl is on the ground floor at Plaça del Progrés 18 in the Ponent/Santa Catalina quarter of Palma. Free on-street parking is available nearby, though spaces can be harder to find in the evening.
Good to Know
Tables can be booked via the restaurant's website. For groups of nine or more, it's best to contact the restaurant directly. As well as dining in, Xólotl offers both delivery and takeaway. The entrance, toilets and seating are all fully accessible.
