A concert dedicated to works written for piano and narrator. The repertoire explores the boundaries between speech and song, with works such as Façade by W. Walton, Sports et divertissements by E. Satie, a melodrama by Schubert and the spoken songs of Albéniz, among others. A journey to discover how the human voice, across very different traditions and eras, has sought to speak, recite and sing at the same time, bringing words and music together in a single expressive gesture. A different way of listening to the spoken verse and the sung note.
