TRIO HARMONIA – Mallorcan Musical Heritage

Trio Harmonia presents a programme linked to Mallorca’s musical heritage, built from different perspectives on the island. The ensemble — transverse flute, harp and voice — creates a transparent sonic space, where timbre and text play a central role. The repertoire combines traditional songs, works based on Mallorcan poetry and compositions that evoke the island’s landscape and memory. It includes pieces such as Sonatina de bressol by Jaume Mas Porcel, Notes de Deià on a text by Joan Alcover, or Mallorca by Isaac Albéniz, alongside popular songs and adaptations that form part of the collective imagination. Rather than offering a reinterpretation, the programme proposes a way of inhabiting this repertoire through listening and closeness, allowing the music to retain its simplicity while gaining a new presence. Catalina Roig, Maria Assumpció Janer and Maria Rosselló have careers connected both to performance and pedagogy, with an established presence in the musical sphere of the Balearic Islands. A proposal that focuses on word, colour and sonic memory.
