You can reach Sa Pesquera Plana by car via Cala Blava and park in the residential streets above the cove.

From Palma or S’Arenal, the described route initially follows the Ma-19 motorway toward Llucmajor. Take exit 13 for s’Arenal and Cala Blava and follow the road to the third roundabout on Carrer Cala Blava. Then continue toward Cap Enderrocat. At the first turnoff, drive to another roundabout and continue straight ahead along Carrer Ondategui. The access to the cove is on the right and is signposted.

Steps lead down from the road. A handrail is mentioned for these steps, but the access is nevertheless not considered wheelchair accessible. Anyone with limited mobility or arriving with a stroller should therefore not plan on Sa Pesquera Plana as an accessible swimming spot.

There is no developed beach parking area directly beside the water. Parking is available in the surrounding residential area. Assessments of the parking situation vary: the Balearic Islands tourism portal describes parking nearby as straightforward, while other local descriptions classify the spaces in the residential streets as limited. You should therefore not rely on finding a free space immediately beside the access.

Note: Park so that driveways and traffic in the residential area remain unobstructed. The beach access begins above the cove; you cover the final section on foot via the steps.

Arriving on foot or by boat is also mentioned as possible. No specific bus route is listed for Sa Pesquera Plana. Carrer Ondategui is the most precise reference point for navigation.

What are the water, entry, and swimming conditions like?

Both can be understandable at such a small cove: it is used mainly by residents of the Cala Blava residential development but offers very little space. Even a modest number of visitors can fill the rocky section.

It is not possible to derive a specific time when the cove is guaranteed to be quiet. If you want a choice of places to lie down and parking spaces, it makes sense not to arrive only after the cove is already busy. At the same time, you should take its largely unshaded location into account. The cove is listed as a possible destination in winter, spring, summer, and autumn. Whether swimming is advisable, however, depends on more than the season alone. Wind and swell are crucial along this exposed stretch. Even in summer, the coast can be rough in unfavorable conditions.

If you visit without intending to swim, the view across the Bay of Palma remains the main attraction. Anyone wishing to swim or snorkel, however, should enter the water only when the sea is calm. As there is no lifeguard service, assessing the conditions is your responsibility.

What is near Sa Pesquera Plana?

Caló de ses Lleonardes and Cala Blava are directly nearby; larger sandy beaches can be found toward S’Arenal and Platja de Palma.

Depending on the directory, Caló de ses Lleonardes is listed as around 100 to 148 meters away. Cala Blava is approximately 194 to 200 meters away. Punta de ses Puntes, at 225 meters, and Caló Fort, at 370 meters, are also mentioned in the immediate area. The cove is unsuitable for strollers or people with limited mobility. Young children should not swim here because of the steeply sloping, rocky shore and lack of supervision.

Bring drinking water and everything else you need for your stay. There are no toilets, showers, restaurants, or rentals. Your own sun protection is particularly important because the vegetation is sparse and the beach is largely exposed to the sun.

Several beach profiles state that dogs are not permitted. As rules and signs can change, also observe the notices at the access. Sa Pesquera Plana is not designated for naturism either.

The rocky coastal area is recorded as a nature reserve. Do not leave any rubbish behind and treat the small area with particular care. This is not only a matter of respecting nature: because there is no infrastructure, there is also no beach service to organize your stay or resolve practical problems for you.
