Climate in S'Arenal — Beach Weather at Playa de Palma
S'Arenal is the resort town at the eastern end of Playa de Palma, Mallorca's most famous sandy beach. The town falls within the municipal area of Llucmajor and sits directly on the shoreline of the Bahia de Palma. The climate is Mediterranean coastal: warm summers, mild winters, little rain.
According to aggregator climate data for the Bahia de Palma, S'Arenal receives around 512 mm of precipitation per year — AEMET's figure for Palma is 449 mm. The wettest month is November, with around 79 mm. Summers in the bay are dry: July averages just around 9 mm, which is typical for the peak beach season.
Summers are warm and sunny. In July, daytime highs reach around 31°C, with a daily average of around 26°C. The location right on the sea means that the southeasterly wind — known as the Embat — brings a noticeable cooling effect along the promenade in the afternoons.
