The Porreres project ran from 5 to 19 August and involved people aged between 18 and 30. It was designed to encourage community participation through volunteers’ direct involvement in the Sant Roc patron saint festivities.

Six projects held this summer

Porreres is one of six IBJove volunteer camps held this summer. The others are based in Sóller, Lloseta, Inca and Santa Maria, which is hosting two camps.

Their work includes social initiatives through artistic activities, promoting diversity, helping local communities during festivals, environmental volunteering and conservation. Other themes cover sustainable habits, equality, inclusion and respect for diversity.
