It is currently sunny in Alcúdia at 36.4°C; the feels-like temperature is around 42.9°C. The weather in Alcúdia shows almost no clouds, a light wind of 7.9 km/h and only 2% precipitation, so it feels dry.

Strong sunshine increases the heat in the urban area, so shaded passages remain the most comfortable places. You can feel some cooling by the sea, but direct sun heats up quickly, so make sure to stay hydrated.
Perfect for a shady stroll around town
At such high temperatures, a leisurely walk along the fully intact city wall is a good choice — it can be walked all the way around and is most pleasant in the morning or evening. If you prefer it cooler, you'll find some peace in the church of Sant Jaume, and in the evenings the restaurants in the old town are ideal for tapas without too much heat. If you want something more active, head to the beach earlier or visit the Pollentia ruins in the morning light.
Tomorrow will be sunny again with about 29.4°C.

Climate in Alcúdia — between the old city walls and the bay
Alcúdia sits on the northern coast of Mallorca, where a medieval old town meets the wide sweep of the bay. Its geographic position shapes the climate in two distinct ways: proximity to the Tramuntana mountains to the west brings more rainfall than Palma receives, while the bay generates thermally driven compensating winds in summer.
The Tramuntana blocking effect shows up clearly in the precipitation data. According to aggregated climate records, Alcúdia receives around 607 mm of rain per year — considerably more than the AEMET figure for Palma of roughly 470 mm. The wettest month is November at around 89 mm. This pattern reflects the Mediterranean's classic autumn weather engine: Atlantic lows and Mediterranean depressions pile up against the Tramuntana ridge and trigger rainfall.
In summer, Alcúdia displays the textbook Mediterranean climate: daytime highs reach around 32°C in July according to aggregated data, with a daily average of roughly 26°C. Conditions are less extreme than in the island's interior — the bay noticeably takes the edge off heat extremes. July sees an average of only around 11 mm of rain, so summers are dry. A regionally characteristic effect: the Embat, the north-to-northeasterly daytime breeze, cools the bay's coastal areas appreciably through the afternoon — something many visitors find welcome, and which is more pronounced at the beach than in the sheltered old-town core.
Water temperatures in the Bahia de Alcúdia follow the Balearic rhythm: in July the sea sits at around 25°C, reaching its annual peak of roughly 26°C in August. Even in October the water remains pleasant at around 23°C — by which point the land has already cooled considerably.
Alcúdia's winters are mild. The daily average in January is around 11°C. Frost is rare, limited to the occasional cold-air intrusion. Anyone looking to hike the surrounding area or explore the Cap des Pinar will find well-balanced conditions in spring and autumn — though autumn is noticeably wetter than spring.
More on the bay's climate is available on the Mallorca Climate Chart. Local context is provided by the Alcúdia Town Guide. Coastal weather conditions for the bay are covered on the Port d'Alcúdia page.
Note on data sources: Alcúdia has no dedicated AEMET climate-normal station. Alcúdia-specific monthly values are drawn from aggregated climate data (T3-Aggregator source) and should be treated as indicative figures.
