That the couple previously operated the sports bar "Sharky's" at this very address — and closed it again after a short run — makes Tiki Beach a second act at the same spot, and this one is working better. Jerofke gives the place a face and a narrative that reaches far beyond Cala Rajada, drawing in the German-speaking crowd in particular. Location: Son Moll and the Promenade Son Moll is Cala Rajada's main beach: fine sand, shallow water, families with children, sunbeds and parasols for hire, showers and a lifeguard in season. Right behind it runs the promenade with cafés, ice-cream stands and restaurants — Tiki Beach occupies some of the best-positioned tables on this whole axis. Strollers coming in from Cala Gat or the wide arc of Cala Agulla will inevitably pass by. In the evening the light turns the bay golden, and the sea breeze off the Mediterranean makes the terrace a genuinely relaxed place that doesn't need midnight to prove itself.
