Climate in Magaluf — Beach Resort on the Western Side of the Bay
Magaluf sits on the western side of the Bay of Palma, in the municipality of Calvià, at just 5 meters above sea level. The setting is straightforward: a wide sandy beach, unobstructed sea views to the south and west, afternoon sun with no shading. That makes Magaluf a climatically typical beach resort of the Bahia de Palma.
The nearest AEMET climate station is Palma B228 (~15 km to the east), with an annual mean of 18.5°C and annual rainfall of 470 mm (AEMET 1991–2020). T3-Aggregator sources for the Palma zone show around 512 mm. Summers are very dry: July averages only about 9 mm of rain. The wettest month is November at around 79 mm (T3). Autumn precipitation arrives with Atlantic low-pressure systems from the west, which Calvià — thanks to its westward exposure — tends to catch somewhat earlier than the eastern side of the bay.
