Forn Pedro Garau was a traditional, family-run bakery and pastry shop in Colònia de Sant Pere, in the north-east of Mallorca.
Craft & Selection
The heart of Forn Pedro Garau was its classic Mallorcan bakes: ensaïmades, panades, cocarrois, robiols and braços de gitano all featured on the shelves. Alongside these came freshly baked bread and a range of pastry-shop treats — including apricot tartlets. The selection was small but carefully curated, and everything was made by hand.
History & Closure
For over 60 years, the bakery was a cornerstone of the coastal village of Colònia de Sant Pere. Pedro Garau and Margalida Capó ran the business together. In autumn 2023 they closed the doors for good — due to health reasons and with no one from the next generation to take over. The village gave them a warm and heartfelt send-off.
