Mallorca: 68 affordable rental homes planned in Palma
Mallorca’s capital, Palma, could get at least 68 affordable rental homes: Casa 47 is seeking a team to design them. The tender appeared in Spain’s Official State Gazette on Thursday, 22 October 2026. It covers a site on Ignasi Ferretjans street in Son Oliva-Arxiduc.
The design contract has a starting budget of 494,868 euros. It covers the initial design, detailed construction plans and related work.
For this scheme, the legal limit is 43 homes unless the new flats qualify as price-limited housing. On that basis, the tender calls for at least 68, with as many homes as the rules allow. Plans cover one-, two- and three-bedroom flats of no more than 90 square metres. At least 4% must be adapted for people with disabilities.
