Air Europa joins Destinux for business travel

Air Europa flights are now available through Destinux, Consultia Business Travel’s corporate travel platform, in Madrid on 26 August. The addition gives companies using the system another airline’s fares and services without moving to a different booking tool. Consultia has connected the flights through Air Europa’s NDC content.

NDC, short for New Distribution Capability, is a distribution system that lets airlines provide a wider, more flexible range of fares, add-ons and personalised products. Destinux already carries NDC content from Iberia, British Airways, American Airlines, Air France-KLM, Lufthansa, TAP Air Portugal and Vueling.

Consultia says companies can keep their travel policies, booking records and corporate spending under control while viewing more airline content on one platform. Ignacio González, the company’s managing director, said NDC marks a change in how flights are distributed and that businesses need technology able to keep pace with airlines.

The company expects NDC to take on a larger role in corporate travel in the coming years. Consultia says its own Destinux technology allows it to add airline-led changes quickly, with users able to see the full flight portfolio on one screen.
