Air Europa extends free Colombia flight rebooking after earthquake

Air Europa has extended its free rebooking policy for flights to and from Colombia with domestic connections to airports affected by the recent earthquake. The airline said on Monday, 17 August, that eligible passengers can move their travel date to a flight up to and including 31 August.

The measure covers tickets issued by 10 August for journeys scheduled from 10 to 17 August. For flights dated after Tuesday, 18 August, Air Europa said passengers do not currently need to take any action.

Free route changes available until 31 August

Air Europa is also allowing free route changes, in the same cabin, for travel to or from any airport in Colombia served by the carrier or its partners. This option remains available until 31 August.

The airline has extended the same route-change option to flights to or from Guayaquil, Quito and Panamá. These changes may also be made in the same cabin until 31 August.

Iberia and World2Fly announce separate policies

Iberia is permitting changes for tickets issued by 10 August and flights scheduled between 10 and 14 August, with revised travel possible up to 31 August. The replacement booking must be in the original class or the lowest available class in the same cabin.

Iberia will allow a change of origin or destination only where a passenger chooses to begin or end their journey in Bogotá, Colombia, because they cannot reach the intended destination. World2Fly is waiving change fees and extra charges for flights to Cali, with travel subject to availability able to be moved up to 30 days after the original date; its measure runs until Sunday, 23 August.
