400 pupils learn water protection at Alcudiamar

Four hundred pupils visited Alcudiamar’s harbour facilities in 2025 to learn how the port works and how water can be protected. The children, from different age groups and schools, also covered sorting waste and handling toxic and hazardous products. Alcudiamar published its sustainability report on Monday, 31 August 2026.

The report sets out environmental education, beach cleaning and new equipment as parts of the company’s 2025 sustainability plan. Pupils were also shown how clean energy can be used in the surroundings without producing emissions.

Water systems and smarter facilities

Alcudiamar installed a collection system for bilge water and sewage water from boats. It also added smart supply towers, tanks for regenerated water and systems to manage irrigation and plants.

The plan included cutting paper use, using building automation in shared areas and introducing more efficient internal transport. Charging points were installed for electric vehicles.

Equality plan reaches 79 percent

Alcudiamar said it had put 79 percent of the measures in its 2022-2026 equality plan into practice. According to the report, the measures cover equal pay, protection against sex discrimination and employment rights for victims of gender-based violence.
