Autumn Delights in Mallorca: Perfection in Hiking and Picnicking
Embrace Autumn in Mallorca – The Perfect Season for Hiking and Picnicking
Autumn is here, and it brings along the prime season for hiking and picnicking on Mallorca in pleasant temperatures.
Whether you're embarking on a tour through the Tramuntana or heading to an idyllically located beach – Mallorca offers an excellent picnic experience! And all that without much effort and for a small budget. Just buy some Mallorcan treats, pack your picnic backpack, and off you go.
Paradise Delights in the Heart of Nature
Across Mallorca, there are almost 50 public picnic areas. These so-called Àreas recreativas offer rustic wooden tables and benches, playgrounds, public toilets, and special BBQ facilities. Since mid-October, they can be used again – unlike the summer months, when due to increased forest fire danger.
Sa Font des Noguer
Located idyllically at the Cúber reservoir in the midst of the Tramuntana, this pleasantly shaded place even offers its own source. Free parking and toilets are also available.
Son Tries
This little rest area on the grounds of the publicly accessible Finca Esporles impresses with its location and breathtaking panoramic views.
S'Illot
Located on the Victoria peninsula near Alcúdia, this place offers bathing and picnic fun in one.
Picnic Spots to Steal Your Heart
In the autumnal Mondragó Nature Park, the well-signposted hiking trails and a subsequent picnic are my absolute favorite. Along the narrow path, equipped with a hamper, you can feast on benches or rock slabs like in paradise.
Those who prefer an individual picnic spot, go on an exploration tour and spread their picnic blanket wherever they like. Mallorca certainly has the right spot for everyone.
