Balearic PP backs Feijóo's bid to unseat Sánchez

The People's Party (PP) in the Balearic Islands wants Pedro Sánchez out: a delegation joins party leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo at an event in Madrid, Spain, on Saturday, 10 October. The party is backing Feijóo to become prime minister after the 29 November election.

Balearic campaign coordinator Marga Durán says the party is united and ready for the vote. She accuses Sánchez's government of neglecting the islands and says Spain needs a change after eight years of political deadlock and corruption scandals.

Durán says a new government should restore stability and defend the interests of people in the Balearic Islands. She sees the November vote as a chance to end Sánchez's government and start again.
