15 Balearic youths join volunteer camps across Spain
15 young people from the Balearic Islands: volunteer camps take them to seven regions of Spain, with projects ranging from an Iberian settlement in Aragon to a botanical garden in Madrid. The Balearic Islands Ministry for Families, Social Welfare and Dependency Care reported their participation on 13 October. The volunteers are aged 16 to 30; 12 are women and three are men.
In Aragon, they helped reconstruct the Iberian settlement of El Cabo de Andorra. In the Madrid region, one project involved work at the botanical garden of Soto del Real. Other camps took place in Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, Galicia, Navarre and the Basque Country. Projects included cultural routes in Toledo and work in Navarre’s Urbasa-Andia and Señorío de Bértiz natural parks.
The camps aim to bring together young people from different places, help them develop personal and social skills, and support projects in their host communities.
