Balearics home prices hit €5,595 record in August

Resale homes across the Balearics reach a record €5,595 per m2 in August, nearly double Spain’s average of €2,924 per m2. The islands remain Spain’s most expensive autonomous community and province for this type of property, according to property portal idealista. Prices are 5.1% higher than in August 2025, though that is the smallest year-on-year rise of any region.
The Balearics price also rises 0.4% from July and 0.8% against the previous three months. In Palma, Mallorca’s capital, resale homes average €5,522 per m2 in August, up 4.9% on a year earlier. But Palma’s figure falls 0.3% from July and 0.6% from the previous quarter.
